There are many ways you could listen to Travelogue. While doing the dishes. In earbuds while walking. On a plane, drowning out a screaming baby. Intently. Absentmindedly. At home under a blanket. On your own journey.

And you can take whatever you want from it. It can be a complete, single track experience (that’s how it was made, mixed and mastered). It can also be a few different fragments that you like and replay over and over. You can play out scenes in your head, or let it drift past on its own.

No matter how you listen, if you’re reading this, I assume you have or are about to, and I thank you for it.

You’ll find a list of things below that are in this album, as least as far as I’m concerned. I came home from Greece with all of this stuff in my head, then spent 2.5 weeks in my studio. I clipped out my favourite field recordings I’d made, chose instruments around places and moods, and used my piano, classical guitar, and various hard and soft synths and sampled instruments to write what I feel is a sonic journal of my time with my partner Nancy in a distant, mystical and magical place. Oh, and I used the Moog DFAM a few times. Didn’t think I’d g It’s all rolling around explicitly or implicitly in the music:
